What conditions can acupuncture help with?
Acupuncture is a trusted, evidence-informed therapy that supports the body’s natural ability to heal and restore balance. While widely recognized for effective pain relief, it also offers support for emotional health, hormonal balance, and overall wellbeing.
By working with the nervous system and promoting healthy circulation, acupuncture supports both symptom relief and long-term wellbeing.
Acupuncture can also be a powerful complement to movement-based therapies. By targeting specific points along the body’s energy pathways (meridians), acupuncture helps reduce muscular tension, improve alignment, and restore natural breath patterns — all essential for healthy, efficient movement.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture involves the insertion of fine, sterile needles into specific areas on the body known as acupuncture points.
Acupuncture works by promoting circulation, reducing inflammation and pain, regulating the nervous system, boosting immune function, and adjusting hormone and energy flow. More than symptom relief, acupuncture addresses the root of imbalance, triggering the body’s natural ability to heal and restore balance.

Cupping
Cupping is a therapy that uses suction created by small cups placed on the skin.
This suction increases blood circulation, releases muscle tightness and tension, draws out toxins and stuck energy (Qi), reduces inflammation, relieves pain and stiffness, and promotes relaxation and healing.
-

Moxibustion
Moxibustion is a gentle heat therapy that involves burning a healing herb called mugwort (or moxa) on or near the skin.
Moxa helps warm the body, improve circulation, support immune response and tissue healing, and encourages the healthy flow of energy and blood — especially in areas that feel cold, tense, or stuck.
-

Gua Sha
Gua Sha is a technique that uses a smooth-edged tool to lightly scrape the skin.
This scraping enhances circulation and activates the body’s natural healing response. Beneficial for both acute and chronic conditions, it is often used to ease muscle tension, reduce pain and inflammation, and support recovery from illness.
-

Electroacupunture
Electroacupuncture (or E-Stim) is a technique where a mild electrical current is applied to acupuncture needles to enhance their therapeutic effect.
E-stim is commonly used to improve circulation, reduce inflammation, relieve muscle tension, and support neuromuscular recovery and tissue healing. It is often applied in cases of chronic pain, injury rehabilitation, and to enhance motor function.

Tui Na
Tui Na is a hands-on therapy that uses massage, acupressure, and gentle joint movements to help relieve pain, improve circulation, support joint mobility and alignment, and calm the nervous system and reduce stress.

Qigong
Qigong (pronounced chee-gong) is an ancient mind-body practice that combines movement, breathing, and focused intention to support physical, emotional, and energetic well-being.
Rooted in Chinese medicine and martial arts, Qigong is used to improve energy flow (Qi) in the body, build strength, balance, and flexibility, reduce stress and calm the mind, and support healing and resilience. It can be practiced by people of all ages and abilities, and can be both deeply meditative and physically strengthening, depending on the style

Shonishin
Shōnishin is a gentle, needle-free form of acupuncture for children. Using soft tapping, stroking, or tiny tools on the skin, it helps support their natural balance, calm the nervous system, and promote overall wellbeing. It’s completely painless and safe for all ages, including infants.
